🌺 Coaching Agreement

Although the language is simple, the intentions are serious not only as a friend, but under legal courts.
Summary 🛫
I'll always do my best to fulfill your needs and meet your expectations, but it’s important to have things written down so that we both know what’s what, and what will happen if something goes wrong.
In this agreement you won’t find any complicated legal terms or long passages of unreadable text. I'm in no desire to trick you into agreeing to something that you might later regret. What I do want is what’s best for both parties, now and in the future.
So in short,
RV Mendoza (“Me”) will be giving life coaching services to You (the client).
What do we both agree to? 🤝
You: You have the authority to enter into this agreement. You’ll show up to sessions with honesty and openness. You’re ready and eager to move towards your goals because you understand that it’s not my job to change your life. That’s only something you can do yourself. Change is continued practice. You acknowledge that two-three months is the reccomended amount of sessions to start, but have the freedom to choose otherwise.
Me: I will honor our time together and keep to my promises. I will hold you in positive focus, and concentrate on what is working in your life so I can lead you to creating more of that. I will keep what you share with me private. I believe that you have all the answers within, and it’s a privilege to help you become aware of them.
Social Media 🤳🏽
I will keep what you tell me private. The things we talk about are typically universal human experiences, so it may inspire social media content, but it will always be about the general subject that many can relate to. I will never reveal identifying information about you or what you’re going through without your explicit consent.
Payment 💸
Coaching fees will be paid as each session is booked.
Cancellations 🎧
I ask that you give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or change the time of the appointment. I will make an effort as well to reschedule sessions that are canceled in a timely manner. If you're 10 minutes late for a session without contact, I’ll assume the session is canceled. Cancellations less than 24 hours before or no-show appointments will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Legal Stuff 🧑🏻⚖️
Life coaching is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment. It cannot be used in place of any form of diagnosis, treatment or therapy.
I'll carry out my work in accordance with good industry practice and at the standard expected from a suitably qualified person with relevant experience.
That said, there is no such thing as “perfect” so I can’t be liable to you or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, any special, punitive, incidental, indirect, or consequential damage of any kind in connection to this agreement.
Your liability to me will also be limited to the amount of fees payable under this contract and you won’t be liable to me or any third-party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings or other incidental, consequential or special damages.
Finally, if any provision of this agreement shall be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this contract and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
Phew.
But where’s all the horrible small print? 😄
Just like a parking ticket, neither of us can transfer this agreement to anyone else without the other’s permission.
We both agree that we will adhere to all relevant laws and regulations in relation to our activities under this contract and not cause the other to breach any relevant laws or regulations.
This contract stays in place and need not be renewed. If for some reason one part of this contract becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts of it remain in place.
